Abou Diaby injured again – some things in life doesn’t change

It looks ironic, isn’t it? Few days back, after his brilliant performances at Anfield, Abou Diaby was speaking about his determination to stay fit for the entire season. However, just after four matches (including World Cup qualifiers) in the brand new season, he is out with injury again and might not feature for Saturday’s clash with Southampton.

It all looked rosy for the Frenchman. He was nothing spectacular in the opening two league fixtures but at Merseyside, he took his game to the next level which gave lots of hope to his manager and the fans.

The 26-year-old, who scored the only goal for France in the opening qualifier against Finland, has been side-lined with a muscle strain.

Just the time when it looked all positives for the midfielder who featured only four times, his injury will be considered as a blow for Arsenal.

“He took a bad knock and won’t train,” said French coach Didier Deschamps ahead of the Belarus game. “He is not free in his movements.”
