Abou Diaby is a man with revenge on his mind

Midfielder Abou Diaby says it was “his destiny” to return strongly for Arsenal again after battling with successive injuries in his career.

The Frenchman who only managed less than 100 minutes for the Gunners last season has started all the league games in the present campaign. His performance against Liverpool was highly praised in the media and by the manager himself.
The 26-year-old insisted he never gave up and always kept the faith of coming back stronger. He admits of having a good pre-season for ages and is getting better day by day.

“I had some very difficult moments, some days when I was depressed when it was tough. But even then, I always kept faith,” Diaby said in an interview with Le Parisien as noted by The Arsenal player.

The midfielder has cited Eric Abidal as an example who had a heart surgery and takes his case an inspiration in his life.

“I always told myself that some people were in a worse position than me.

“When you see Eric Abidal [who has had a kidney transplant], you think twice about yourself. I just had to get my body sorted.

“I am 26 and I am aware that I am at a key moment in my career. That’s why it was so important that I came back this season. Last year I told myself, ‘I am injured again, I am nearly 26 and I am at a key turn. Either, I take the turn well and I succeed, either I don’t take it and it will become very, very difficult.’

“Now, I am careful about every detail, I leave nothing to chance. I am much more mature. I also had a full pre-season for the first time in ages. It’s such an important season for me that I am working harder than ever to succeed.

“I have revenge to take over the time I lost but I want to prove to myself that I can go higher. I am getting to an age and to a time in my career where I need to show what I can do on the pitch in the long term.

“I don’t want to miss out on anything. I know what my qualities are and I want to use them to go higher. I have played three games this season, I getting better but I can do more. Physically, I am only 70 per cent.”

The big RVP merchandise throw away day

The man has obviously no respect for us so why should we have any for him.No gooner surely still wears his shirt or drinks from his cup or wears his scarf or waves his flag or whatever you bought to support his one great year for us,so why not on that fatefull day he returns to our club playing against us dont you just throw it onto the pitch before the Kick off so he actually realises how he has left us feeling.AFC has to know how this unbelievable event has affected the fans. This transfer cant just be brushed under the carpet…….can it.

If you dont agree with this no problem Im not making anyone do it.Im frustrated and thinking of ways to show this is unacceptable its giving me sleepless nights still, how are you feeling.
