It has been reported in the Guardian today that the Arsenal board are due to meet in regards to the current wage bill at the club and are unhappy at the amount that fringe players are on in the club, and the board feel that they are over paying fringe players, and are looking at reducing the wage bill at the club – well I can’t dispute that, I will be detailing what these fringe players are currently on and you can decide for yourselves whether the club is vastly over paying these players for the contribution they make to the team itself.
Alumina – €60,000pw
Fabianski – €50,000pw
Squillaci – €60,000pw
Djourou – €50,000pw
Chamakh – €60,000pw
Park – €40,000pw
Bendtner – €52,000pw
And Ramsey who will more than likely play a match here and then when Wilshere returns, is on €55,000pw
(Euro symbols represent pound symbols as my keyboard has decided to have a hissy with me for whatever reason and replaced pound symbol with Euro symbol)
Those are just the figures I currently have in front of me at this time, and you can see there for yourself, is Chamakh worth €60,000pw absolutely not, is Nicklas Bendtner worth €52,000 pw again absolutely not, is Park who has played just six minutes of Premier League football worth €40,000pw again not a chance and Djourou on €50,000pw for his services to the club, I mean come on that’s a joke in itself, and yet these are the same board members who refuse to pay a wage over €100,000 on a real quality player who could bring a lot more to the club – does that make sense to anyone reading this?

None of these players are even worth half as much as they make. Arsenal should endeavor to drop them and their salaries ASAP.
All well and good for future, but how do you reduce their wages? No one will sign them if they are only worth half of wages. No one will take on loan for the same reason unless we still pay a portion of the wages.

If we sold them so we have money to pay two superstars wages or three supertalents wages. Sold them and bring Benzema and Sneider or get Hazard, Goetze and Rodwell that make Arsenal super team again like in 1998.

Only part of the problem – there are 71 or so players signed on – but one needs just 14/15 to be available each game – that’s a lot of ‘dough’ going out on players not even wanted each week????
