Arsenal boss admits race for fourth place spot still wide open

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has admitted that even though they are three points ahead of their nearest rivals for the fourth spot finish at the end of this season, the race for it still remains wide open for both Liverpool, Newcastle United or Chelsea also to claim it, and he is right, we can’t be too comfortable yet with some big games coming up as well including Chelsea and Manchester City.

There is of course 10 games still to play in this season’s Premier League, so we cannot get too carried away yet, but the form we have shown in turning around our season has been fantastic, we were of course at one point, 13 points behind third placed Spurs, but have managed to close that down to just one point behind them now with everything to play for – any slip ups now will be costly.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger acknowledges this as he spoke to Arsenalplayer:

“It’s too early to say that,”

“I wouldn’t completely rule out Newcastle norLiverpool.”

“Of course the most obvious battle is between Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal but you have to wait two or three games. There are 10 games to go, but three games ago we were 10 points behindTottenham.”

“Things can change quickly. You just want to be focused on your next game and give everything.”
