Despite overall having a disappointing season with yet another year gone by without picking up any silverware Mikel Arteta, the hero against Man City, is confident that next season we will be title contenders.
“We need to finish the season really strong,” the Spaniard told arsenal.com. “We’ve shown we have a lot of fighters here. We have missed big players this season; Abou Diaby, Jack Wilshere, and they haven’t played at all and are massive players.
“We know we have really good players and maybe, just maybe, we can do even better than what we have done this year.”
Not sure I agree with Arteta to be honest, we still need new blood, too many of our players at crucial times have been found wanting, it is ok beating the big teams at home, but we need to win away againstb the big teams more often and we need to beat the lesser teams more consistently.

Ah, more wisdom.
I think it only logical to expect Arsenal to be better next year, so long as the players stay fit. Even without new signings, the team will look better, if only for the reason that the new signings of this season will have gelled in. And, of course, thee have been mighty strong suggestions that there will be 2-3 new signings, which is exactly what Arsenal need to keep up with the Manchester Joneses.
this team can beat anyone but without some serious investing and keeping RvP,Song and Walcott we can’t count on some consistently good performances through the whole season which means-no silverware
this season we missed Wilshere,next season it will be someone else!what we need is more quality and more depth in the squad so we can perform more consistently and of course we need to stop selling our best players.If we sell RvP,Song,Walcott we all know Wenger won’t bring someone equally good to replace them immediately!Wenger must change his policy
