Arsenal could finally be rid of one of their unwanted outcasts

Italian side Fiorentina are in search of a new striker according to the comments made by the club’s President after his team’s 2-1 win over Udinese on Saturday. Mr. Andrea Della Valle went on record to announce that the Viola will sign a new striker prior to the end of the summer transfer window that shuts on the 31st of August.

According to media reports Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner is being considered as a potential partner for star marksman Stevan Jovetic. The Italian media has previously linked the Dane with a move to AC Milan but now believe that the want-away striker is one of three men on the shortlist of the Viola.

Bendtner’s future has been in huge doubt throughout the summer especially since he was unceremoniously dumped by Sunderland despite a half decent season with the club. The Dane is unwanted at Arsenal, disappointing, considering the fact that coach Arsene Wenger has gone on to splash the cash on 3 new players to forge a strong three pronged attack.

Fiorentina are said to be seriously considering a move for Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov or Roma’s Marco Borriello as well. All three strikers are undesired by their current employers and are expected to be relieved at a meagre fee.
