There have been some reports in the Daily Telegraph that suggest Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is heading back in for Toulouse midfielder Etienne Capoue in the summer as he looks to spend some of the £70 million that is reportedly available to him.
Wenger does not like buying in the January transfer window and that is why we didn’t see his top targets arrive, but the summer will be a whole different story and there should be quite a few new arrivals head to the Emirates.
Capoue has been watched extensively and will offer us the physical dominance in the centre of midfield that we need.
Capoue is a great player and is one of the most highly-prised men in French football and would be a great addition to the squad, there is no doubt about that.
And Toulouse are resigned to losing Capoue in the near future, but are thought to want a fee in excess of £12million for the player, who still has two-and-a-half years left on his current deal.
Wenger has a vast shopping list and will look to add the quality that we need to get back to the top and Capoue will surely be high up on that list.

Not again… I heard Wenger is planning to sell two key players and replace them with academy players. He is targeting $30 million net income from the transfer market.
