Arsenal are keeping their eye on highly rated Brazilian midfielder Ganso and are sending their scouts to have a close observation when he takes the field in the Olympic warm-up match with Team GB.

Paulo Henrique Ganso plays for Santos in the attacking midfield position. Wenger has been closely following his progress for a long time and is weighing up a bid for the 22-year-old.

The Gunner’s boss is looking for reinforcement in the squad this summer has already targeted few good midfielders.
Arsenal have been weaken by the loss of two world class attacking midfielders last season – Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas –and Wenger is looking to fill those voids with quality additions from Europe and elsewhere.

Ganso has impressed many managers from Europe with his displays for his national team. He is set to play against Stuart Pearce’s English side in Middlesbrough on Friday.

Wenger has shown serious interest for the young Brazilian who is also targeted by fellow London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
