So with the club looking to add another striker to the squad during this month’s window, it has been reported that we are in the hunt to sign unhappy Juventus striker Alessandro Matri with AC Milan and Manchester City.
The 28-year-old striker has started just four Juventus games in Serie A so far this season and is open to a move away if the right club comes in and guarantees him first team football.
Arsenal have reportedly been chasing Matri since the summer and were trying to recruit his services ahead of the other two contenders.
But now, according to Italian newspaper Tuttosport, Milan are leading the chase for the Italy international, who came through the ranks at the San Siro.
Juventus are apparently looking to do business for a fee of around £12.5 million as they look to bring in Didier Drogba on a short term loan.
Though he is not in the type of form which made him one of the top strikers in Europe’s, to nail his signature for just £12.5 million would be a massive coup for us and with we should at least make an offer for him over the next few weeks.

“we should at least make an offer for him over the next few weeks” Sounds a bit desperate to me…
Arsenal should move for an unhappy striker so that arsenal fans can have another to complain about or branded deadwood or another Wenger’s failure.
