Young midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup has completed his move to Turkish side Besiktas in a day when Arsenal announced the departure of Mexican star Carlos Vela who ended seven-year ties with the club after joining Real Sociedad on a four-year deal.
The 19-year-old was seen as a top talent as he helped the Under-18 side winning league and cup doubles in his very first season. However, since then he spent majority of time playing for reverse teams at the club.
Wenger is always supportive of youngsters but the prodigy from AZ Alkmaar, who was bought in 2008, could only make two senior appearances for the club. Those came as a substitute in the Carling cup victories against Shrewsbury Town and Bolton Wanderers last season.
The youngster would be keen to resurrect his career at Turkish side Besiktas and further impress his national team coach Abdullah Avci, after failing to make the grade at Arsenal.
The club released an official statement “Everyone at Arsenal would like to thank Oguzhan for his contribution to the Club and wish him well for his future career”

Well with all the mature internationals being recruited in the last 12 months … there will be even less scope for the youngsters.
