Arsenal have been heavily linked with him over the last few months and all rumours are suggesting Arsene Wenger is heading back in for him this coming summer window, as he looks to spend big. But former Fiorentina coach Ranieri Pontello believes the Italian side should cash in on Steven Jovetic.
The 23-year-old striker is rated as one of the best young strikers in Europe and has been impressive again this season.
But with so many top clubs after his signature, Fiorentina will have a tough time rejecting the kind of money that is being thrown about in the media right now and Pontello believes this would be the best time to add more money to the clubs bank balance.
As quoted on the TalkSport website he said: “I would be in favour of a sale if a notable offer is put on the table. After all, the Della Valle family are looking for balance between results and their accounts.”
We are looking to add another quality striker to the line-up and Arsene Wenger had reportedly seen the young man as a great bit of business for the club now, and in the future.
We would have to break the clubs record to acquire him, but he has shown that the potential is there and he would be worth the fee paid.
