Arsenal to make Atletico Madrid man a Gunner, as talks begin?

There has been some sensational reports emerge from abroad, as Fichajes.net have come out and claimed we are in talks with Atletico Madrid striker Adrien Lopez over a possible move to the Emirates in the summer.

The forward has fallen down the pecking order at Madrid and is almost certainly heading out of the club as soon as the window opens and we are reportedly going to be his destination

His agent, Jorge Mendes, would have suggested he tries and reignites his career elsewhere as his time is pretty much done in Spain.

And we have reportedly contacted the representative of Adrian and talks so far seem to be positive and the talk will intensify as the season comes to a close.

It is no secret that we are looking to buy in the summer, but the reports that we are in talks with the versatile striker come as a surprise as all indications suggested Fiorentina’s Stevan Jovetic and Barcelona’s David Villa were the only two men that Arsene Wenger had his eye on.

However, Adrien could be a good signing for the club as he is a decent striker and he wouldn’t cost a massive amount of money either.

    Why oh why are we always linked to players who have falling down the pecking order……. What happened to wanting players in their prime??
    Kroenke has got us looking at 2nd best. Kroenke OUT!!!

    Its just another bogus report. We were in for him in January but we won’t be in the summer, we will be looking to sign true quality i have no doubt.

    Totally agree with u Goonertone.Whoever thinks we should be taking players falling down the pecking order is a big fool and these kind of reports really upset me big time.Keep the heat on Usmanov we are just tired of this Kronke nonsense.

    Why or why are we at it again- deceiving ourselves that any good will come out soon. Signing players like that will not change Arsenal untill we start going for players in their prime and who are contented and hungry. I die everytime I see VP playing for that northern mob and Dembe Ba at Chelsea could have been ours if……. You know what I mean?

    @Goonertone the only reason that we are going for players who have falling out is that we don’t have enough money to buy quality starting eleven players and @dom I would not rule him out if I were you because Podolski came as a target in the Winter but we ended up signing him In the summer but don’t hold up breath

  • i hope so because it pains me to see d likes of totenham beating arsenal………….please wenger buy us a defensive mildfielder,a striker and a ryt back…

    @somtee
    maybe if we stopped buying players on the cheap and paying inflated wages i.e. Park on 50k per week, chamahk on 75k per week, diaby on 60k per week, Bendtner 52k pw, djourou 50k pw, arshavin 90k pw the list goes on…. If we stop the waste we would have money for quality. Our wage bill almost £150Million Spurs wage bill £90Million are we getting value on our players salaries? NO!
