As it stands now, Arsenal are going to have a tough time finding a place for Wilshere. Now the number 10 shirt is not usually given to a player unless he’s a key player for the team but, and i have to say but, i think Wenger gave the shirt number to the wrong player.
Now before, everyone goes all crazy saying that Wilshere is the best thing since sliced bread, let me just say, that i agree- Wilshere is a talent and a pleasure to have in our team. Here’s the thing though, as a whole, we’ve being playing really well together and while i acknowledge the potential that lies within Wilshere, i don’t see him playing any better than Diaby or Arteta. Come the start of the season, i thought once Wilshere recovers, Diaby will be replaced but the fact is Diaby has been playing so well that it would be stupid to change up an in form player with a player only just having recovered from a long term injury.
To make matters worse, i only see Wilshere replacing Diaby. While he could be subbed with Arteta, i feel Arteta has evolved to a much better defensive midfielder that even Wenger expected. Even anti Arteta fans will agree that he’s better in defense than Wilshere. So come November, when we’ll have a better judgement on the team, and lets say that both Arteta and Diaby remain fit and play well, where will our England international slot in?
Frankly, i don’t see him just replacing either one of those players if they continue to perform and thus i don’t see him as a number 10 in our team. I could be wrong, but perhaps Wenger gave the number to Wilshere as an attempt to keep him at the club. There’s no doubt he’ll be a star for us one day but i just don’t see it happening this season.

I expect wilshere to replace diaby cos diaby to me is nt as gud as people say,d reason i said dis diaby may be fit for a match bt d next 3 match he will be d flop,weneva wilshere i expect wenger to slot him in to d 1st 11,imagine carzola,arteta & wilshere dere combination will be d best in epl
Wearing the Nø10 shirt doesnt make one an automatic starter if other players are in better form than you are(even if you are the captain).
There is no way for wilshere to break into arsenals first eleven,at least for now,with d form of arteta,diaby and carzola.it’s crazy when people think wilshere is a better player than diady.leh’s face it,diaby is one of d most talented players in arsenal.he reads d game well and an excellent dribbler.the fact that wishere is english doesn’t mean he’ll just break into d 1st eleven.
