Arsenal and current Russian national team captain Andrei Arshavin, could very well be on his way from the club as manager Arsene Wenger is reportedly open to selling the Russian flop now as the Russian transfer window is set to close on Friday, and mega rich Russian club Anzhi Makhachala would certainly still like to sign him and will make one more attempt before the Russian deadline closes.
Arshavin who joined the Gunners from Russian club Zenit St Petersburg back in the January window of 2009, started his Arsenal career well scoring 4 times at Anfield, but since those opening few months his performances have dwindled to the point that he is labelled our most laziest player on the pitch during a game, and most of the time looks like he doesn’t want to be at the club.
It also doesn’t help his attitude when he openly slags off life England and London constantly, even going as far as to call English women ugly, personally I do not know what he is doing at the club still – I would’ve got shot of as soon as I saw his face before coming out to play his lacklustre part during the Carling Cup Final defeat last season, when his face coming out of the tunnel for our miniscual trophy said it all really.
It is understood that Arshavin would rather wait until the summer before making a decision – most likely another player who wants to see if we can still offer Champions League football next season or not, new owner of Anzhi Guus Hiddink, is keen to bring the Russian forward to the mega bucks club before Friday

good sell him now
Typical chump Wenger. A last minute shopper and a last minute seller. If he goes of course. Why can’t this idiot make up his mind? Why is it alway in the last seconds? If it were me .. I’d know who was going and who my targets would be way in advance of the window. Out with Cham, Arse, JD, Squid, Rosicky, Bender, Vela and in with Parker, Baines, Micah Richards, Cahill. Never would have bothered with Per, Santos, Arteta or Chelski reject.
I am sure the board would consider you for the job Rick, send em your Cv and they will let you know if your good enough,Somehow im reckoning you will still be an another ignorant internet bore this time next year, its oh so easy to know what and when two years after the event but it may surprize you decisions have to be made in advance and your argument ends there.
it doesn’t make any sense to offload Arshavin at a time when we need every resource we can get just to make it to the top four by the end of the season. it may not be a trophy, but it’s worth fighting for.
also, there’s tottenham to be beaten. i wouldn’t be happy selling anyone right now unless they could be adequately replaced.
if we sell now, it means we also need to replace. so let the squad be as it is and wait for another transfer window
Arshavin is only spending our resources,we have too many well-paid players doing nothing for the club!Nobody blames Wenger cause he brought Arshavin here, but now it’s time to offload him
Are you guys joking or what? Arshavin is one of the form players we have at the moment (3 assists in 5 games, 3starts 2bench), It would be a big mistake to sell him. I seriosuly don’t know why Wenger is holding him back at games at the moment, could it possibly be because he could be worse than Theo Walcott or Ramsey? I could have performerd better than them two in the last two games on the minimum wage. I’m I the only person who has noticed that Arsahvin has dribbled past more players in his last 5 games than all the games from August to December of 2011. He has dribbled past more players at the turn of the year than Walcott has, that is enough to warrant a starting place. Its so rediculous that we have a winger in the starting lineup that is afraid to take on a single player in a game. Also at least Arshavin will hold his hands forward signalling a throughball is needed, that is where the 4-4-2 formation comes in. With him alongside Van Persie there are more runners behind the defence, maybe then Rosicky and Song will be able to pick out either two instead of just looking for Van Persie because no one else is making the runs. The tone for the transfers in the summer should be set from the sale of Theo Walcott (over 200 games for Arsenal) to Liverpool I’m sure they will stump up £20m easily for him, if they’re still crazy.
totally agree with Hass. The lazy Arshvain is better than the recent Walcott, Ramsey and Arteta. Arshavin is only creative player we have right now. It’s a good news to me that he stays.
Wenger is the deadwood, sack the fool.
