Reports in Italy are claiming that Arsenal want to sign Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero, though the gunners are not the only ones interested, Celtic are also said to want the Italian legend.
According to Tuttosport, rumours circulated in English press, though no sources mentioned, Wenger is preparing a move for the former Old Lady skipper.
Celtic will be matching an offer of £20,000 per week for the 37 year old which has been offered by FC Sion as well as FC Syndey.
Well, there is no doubt about the quality of the Italian, who has scored 286 goals for Juventus in all competitions and has 27 international goals under his name, but Wenger interested? I don’t think so.
He could be an excellent back-up player for sure, but why would Wenger go for a veteran striker when he has an avalanche of forwards in his squad already?

What do you mean avalanche of forwards? Chamackh, Bendtner and Park look like they might leave before the end of this window, then any injury to Giroud or Poldi would leave us ‘naked and bleeding’. i hope we get the old man, he would make a tidy back up.
