I’m not sure why this bothers me, but it does. Oliver Giroud has come out today saying that he has been impressed by Eden Hazard. We all know that Hazard has talent, he wouldn’t be playing for Chelsea at only 21 if he didn’t have something special. Something we’ve been told so many times its actually sickening now. This isn’t about jealously either, if that’s what you thinking. I’m jealous of Real Madrid for having Ronaldo- that’s the only player I’m jealous of that isn’t playing for Arsenal.
So I’m not jealous. Got it? No, what bugs me, is that Arsenal players won’t shut up about Hazard. There’s sportsmanship and then there’s excessive ego pumping. Is it a tactic to say Eden Hazard is good? Who knows? I just wish, we can accept the player is good, say it once, then get on with life. It’s annoying when a new signing praises other clubs players. Look down at the badge you wearing, say something good about the coach, the reserves, the youth team, your own squad! I’m personally tired of this constant need to praise other clubs players-they get enough of that from their own club.
All I see these days, is Giroud in the headlines. He’s either talking about not scoring for France, or that we need to ease the pressure off him, he’s not RVP, he loves Hazard- and that’s just today! Oh come on, man! If he did half as much training as he does talking then maybe he might go score some goals. The funny thing is no one is actually telling him that he needs to go score goals immediately. I’m prepared to give him time to settle, despite him being a striker.
I don’t care if he didn’t score in the next ten matches so long as he had a good work ethic, good positioning and even made an assist or two. That’s all we really asking from him. Nobody expects him to replicate RVP, if he did, it would be terrible-that chimp took 8 seasons to come good! No, we saying just go out on the pitch and play a decent game and keep your dear diary moments in your head.

Rubbish article!! So what If he praises eden hazard.. U seem to be in love with CR7 who was one of Arsenals biggest rivals n Tormented us on the pitch many a times. You and me may not be askin him to do a RVP but there are 1000s of glory hunters who are probably calling for his head to be chopped off as he hasn’t scored in 3 matches. I don’t know what games u have been watchin but on field I have seen giroud give his all… His work ethics r good he’s strong n uses it well

Hey, guy, be careful you don’t burst a vein over nothing! Footballers hrdly call press conferences; journalists asks them questions and get to slice their answers into so many press releases.
Giroud also commended Arsenal players like Kos and Diaby. He said nothing bad or strange nor had he spoken more than Poldi or Santi.
So, in the end, it is you that is picking on him just because he is yet to score a goal for Arsenal in his Arsenal shirt.
Exactly what you know you shouldn’t be doing yet as a decent Arsenal fan, who knows that he should give new players time to bed in.

What a load of crap, all footballers admire other great footballers. Like actors can admire other great actors, they don’t refrain from complimenting each other just because they are in different movies or tv shows. Grow up.

Get over yourself. I like Giroud. He is a very genuine player. When he is struggling he does not hide it. We have a player who has confidence in his own ability and is gracious enough to praise talent when he sees it. there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. if Hazard becomes big headed because other players praise him then so be it. Great players are not affected by that. Besides remember football is a sport not a religion. Players might be adversaries today but teammates tomorrow. Who would have thought RvP would be teammates with Rooney a year later? Hope Giroud scores today. COYG!
C’mon man, his positioning or movement has been outstanding so far this season. It has been better than RVP’s so you have no cause to mention it. He is only failing at the point of pulling the trigger. His work ethic is excellent to and he contributes to the team massively by holding up the ball … so I have no idea what player you’ve been watching … probably your precious C.Ronaldo AND way too much of him by the sound of it and not enough paying attention to our own players. Pires, Henry, Bergkamp had not scored after three games for Arsenal.
Ian Wright scored a hattrick against Southampton on his league debut so this could be an omen, and if it doesn’t work out today for Giroud, Reyes scored that brace against Chelsea after about the same amount of games as Giroud would have played in two weeks time – and we play Chelsea then.
Giroud is very much an Ian Wright type of player, you can see it every time he plays … well, that’s if you have supported Arsenal long enough to know. You should also be noticing the Alan Smith type of play.
