Celtic midfielder Ki Sung-Yueng has ended all the speculation about stories linking him with English giants Arsenal and Spanish outfit Athletico Madrid.
The 23-year-old South Korean was involved at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff against Japan yesterday, for the third place play-off, capped of a brilliant performance yet again helping his nation brag a medal in the London Olympics.
The midfielder who joined Celtic in 2009, has appeared 66 times for the club and scored nine goals in the league so far is often dubbed as Korean Steven Gerrard for his energetic style.
However, the midfielder insisted he is unaware of the reports linking him with Arsenal or Athletico Madrid. It was reported yesterday, that Arsenal are pondering over a move for him with a substantial bid of £9m.
“I’m not sure,” Ki told reporters as noted by Goal.com. “I haven’t heard anything about that.
“I just need some rest now and spend some time with my family, and then I will think about my future.”
