News is coming out now, suggesting that American billionaire and majority shareholder Stan Kroenke is to fly back to England today for talks with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger scheduled for tomorrow – so not only does Kroenke not bother to come to the games at all, but also chooses to live in America still even though he owns a major British sports team…hmm not only in it for the profit margin is he?
It is expected that Stan Kroenke will give his 100% support to Arsene Wenger – well after all the manager is making him a nice bit of money to add to his pot, though Champions League failure could lighten that pot a bit, and it is also thought at this emergency board meeting that they are to address the recent setbacks and implications of those setbacks, and will aim to produce a strategy for the longer term – strange because no-one has actually heard what Kroenke intends or wants from the club, so long as he’s happy picking up his dollar sack every half year he’s happy I guess, albeit the AST are now wanting to speak to Kroenke face to face over his long term plans for the club as no-one has heard what they actually are as of yet!
And Silent Stan Kroenke is not as silent as it seems, and has shown he will take charge if needed as he has sacked his St Louis Rams, American Football team’s coach after a 14 from 16 game losing streak and the team who before Kroenke took over were one of the top teams in the NFL, since Kroenke took over they have diminished into the lowest ranked team in the NFL – this is what we have to look forward as part of the Kroenke franchise mind, and Arsene Wenger is just three games away from making it 14 defeat this season!

Your comparison of Football to American Football is ridiculous. American Football has a league mandated salary cap structure, most teams have comparable salary structures. There is no such thing as top 4 or haves vs. have nots in American Football. All the owners of teams have about the same wealth.
All the above is not true with Football, therefore the disparity in teams within the Premiere League and beyond.
I have no doubt Kroenke will give Wenger 100% support. He knows no better. He would not know poor transfer decisions and tactical shortcomings if they reared up and bit him on the arse.
@Mike
Well, by your own addmission Keone fcuked up despite a seemingly level playing field. With Arsenal, is he not likely make a more colossal cock-up as these checks do not exist?
There will be no exciting outcome of this meeting. It is obvious that Wenger could not have been taking decisions without the blessing of kroenke and the board. Billionaires take over other clubs and pump in money for the upliftment of the clubs. Unfortunately, Arsenal’s case is different. He only wants to reap when he does not sow. Let’s see how the meeting ends.
Could it be that Silent Stan and Hill-Wood are the problems? Stan’s America Football team is in tatters and Arsenal is on the verge of that. May be, just may be we should be told what is going on and what Stan is doing to the two teams.
I agree with Jamce, there is some sililarities beetween his two clubs. Both were top clubs but going down since he took over. Something fundamental must be wrong with the man’s managerial styles.
Probably doesn’t live in England because he’s got 4 other major sports teams in the US to run, and wifey is walmart so yeah probably would not make sense for stan to live in england
Please don’t compare the NFL to EPL! Totally differant! The Rams were already a shit team when Stan exersized his first right in 2010. There cap structure there is minimal room for contracts on “franchise players” and they use draft system to get young colledge prospects which is run through “waighted lottery”. Its is extremely difficult to get great players through this system. You have to be a shit team to get high draft picks. I don’t know but I’m guessing he saw Rams as a great investment because they were rebuilding and looking to build stadium by 2015. (He’s initialy wealthy from real estate) he also owns the Pepsi center in colorado(real estate). It doesn’t surprize me that he has uped shares in AFC with Emerates being built(real estate). He’s a business man doing what business men do. I feel that as a business man he will do what is neccesary to keep his portfolio in AFC from depreciating. Ie getting rid of staff members that aren’t diong there jobs. But time will only tell. He obviously dosnt care about the football (which angers all of us) but I don’t think he will let his assets depreciate.
Last time I checked it was Kroenke who forked out the over £700m needed to takeover Arsenal so I think it will be foolhardy for anyone to think that he would run the club in a way that will not be beneficial to his financial interests. I love Arsenal and I will always be a Gunner wether it is bought by Kroenke, Usmanov or Osama Bin Laden.
Kroenke only cares about money so as Arsenal fans we should only spend money when he does.
ie Not buying the ugly new kit next season
Not renewing season tickets, if we miss out on the champions league and the prices arnt reduced or if we make the champions league and the team isn’t invested in.
Not buying the overpriced processed food at the grove.
Simple as that, anyone who does the above is actively encouraging our football team to be used as a personal checking account.
Lets hope its to announce his selling up
Each time i see someone talking about the Board members making money i laugh. It shows how little most fans actually know about football management in the EPL.
For your information, ARSENAL DOESN’T PAY DIVIDENDS. ONLY WAY TO MAKE YOUR MONEY BACK IS TO SELL YOUR SHARES!!!!
I hope this makes sense to y’all.
I am fucking tierd from fans to sit and watch, what happen with this club and fans still talk about trust in Wenger,we do not know exactly about, what is happening with this club and who the fuck standing for this disaster. If Wenger is not the man, and nothing to do with this low performence of team, the question is, why he does not talk to fans and say the truth? why there is always fans, who has to be supportive? where the fuck money is going to? before they said ” even Arsenal not qualify for champion league, we have money enough, we do not need money” but now they say if we are not in top 4 we have only 10,000,000 for summer. all this lies are both from the board and Wenger & fucking Stanly fuck face.
This is my message as a fan to other fans, LET US SHOW THE POWER OF FANS TO ALL THIS MONEY SUCKERS AND BOYCOTTE ALL GAMES UNTIL THEY KNOW WE WANT SOMETHING BACK FOR OUR SUPPORT. If we not act quickly then we can se our beloved team in level of Bolton and company.
Av supportd arsenal 4 mo than10yrs n il always b a gooner bt stan kronke n stupid peter hillwod r goin 2 destroy our club bcoz they r just after money n they av no respect to da history n image of asenal,id love to c da return of david dein n asmanov as da majority shereholder, its only dis 2 guys dat will bring arsenal image back..
We can only hope both wenger and kronki agree to leave and sell out to Usmanov.
You’ve also neglected to mention he owns the Colorado Avalanche, an NHL team who has won the Stanley Cup under him, The Colorado Rockies who went to the MLB championship (but lost to my Boston Red Sox in 2007), as well as other sports teams. He’s balancing business and all of his franchises, so I guess I’ll have to introduce myself as one of his Arsenal consultants.
He was the owner of the MLS champions last season.
Somebody above thinks he payed over 700 million … you’re way off mate.
I think this meeting is because it is because it is now considered fact that we will not be in the top 4 at the end of the season.
Wenger has always said he’ll leave Arsenal if he fails at the club. By his own standards where he says non Champions League involvement will be a disaster – he has failed.
From what I’ve seen of Wenger, he will now be flouncing about holding the back of his hand to his forehead, uttering the words, “I’ve failed, I have to leave for the good of the club.” … Knowing people will wipe his nose and pat his back while reassuring him he’s great and indispenible. Kroenke is coming to give him a big hug and the big seal of approval which has Wenger tearfully nodding his head in silence before saying, “Ok, if you feel I’m the man for the job, I’ll stay.”
