There has been so much speculation over his future in recent weeks that clubs have been linked with him constantly, but it seems that all this talk of a move has sparked the player’s interest. As it has emerged that Yann M’Vila wants to leave the club in this transfer window.
Sky Sports reports that Rennes have confirmed that the French international has asked to leave the club.
So now that he has asked for his move, it is looking increasingly likely that us, Tottenham and QPR will try and persuade him to make a move to their respective clubs, though many of you will agree we would like to see him ply his trade here.
The highly-rated midfielder is eager to take on a new challenge and Rennes have reluctantly conceded that it would be in their best interests to part with a player who has suffered a dip in form amid intense transfer talk.
As quoted on Sky Sports Rennes general manager Pierre Dreossi said: “Yes, he feels like leaving.
“But it is not a priority for us to sell. If he has to leave, he will leave. But if it is not worth it for him or for us, he will stay until the end of the season.
“It is all moving towards England or Russia.”
The tough-tackling midfielder does have a temper on him, but that is just what Arsenal need as we have nobody in the squad that is willing to get in the faces of their opponents and cause havoc.
His temper can be controlled and his potential could be harnessed by Wenger, who is in dire need of adding a physical presence in the centre of the park and the news that one of his targets would like move could prompt him into making an offer.

are not Rennes a little bit too concerned?
if he is that good why are there no takers?
We’re in the 10th day of the transfer and still no sign of Arsenal signning a player, but rather loaning our players out. when Carl go, and Sagna get injured who will play that position, what is wrong with Wenger and the Management. Ha.
Mr. Wenger you have tried ur best in those days, but this modern football is not for people like you again. So i advised you should go and rest.
Wenger you are really making we the fans feel stupid with all this transfer talk why not just sign who u want to sign and stop going for 100 players without signing one this is no funny to the fan get to the market and buy who u want buy or loan so we can focus on the games to come
Wenger should know that the problems of the squad is not the players but him, instead he gambles with players in and out, sells without replacing, makes same mistakes week after week, technically does not study the game to make right subs,….and finally mentally our players are not prepared .. Let him learn from 2005 and count the number of players he has sold that is success taken….
