Robin van Persie is set to return to Arsenal on Monday following his summer break, and is expected to have future talks with the club immediately upon his arrival.
The Dutchman indicated before going on holiday that he wouldn’t sign a new contract at the Emirates after the expiry of his current deal next summer, citing differences between him and the management over how the club should move forward.
The Gunners are still hopeful of convincing their skipper to make a U-turn and sign a new deal, but are still in the dark over whether Van Persie’s stance has changed since he released a statement last week.
Reports suggest that Arsene Wenger will offer the striker a much-improved contract, along with assurances over a continued investment on new players, but with Manchester City and Juventus ready to splash the cash, will offload the 28-year old if talks do not end successfully.
Both parties will also want to conclude matters before the end of the week, with Arsenal set to depart on a pre-season tour of the Far East this weekend.

So nothing new from this post.
The guy says he won’t extend and that’s a pretty clear intention to me.
No further chat, Arsene, put the guy up for transfer along with Walcott if he also wants out. Use the fees to invest in players who want to play for Arsenal.
We’ll be a far stronger force by the start of the new season.
Pleace rvp don’t go will lov. U
Wenger pls make the RVP thing work show our rivals that its Not always about money we also have class we sell only wen we fill like. Wenger we need to be respected again pls take RVP to the preseason.
If RVP insist to go let him go nd use his money to buy beta player dat wil fil his space (an ingrate).

My fears are the board migth decide to keep the money realise from RVP sell or invest in a kid that will need 5 years to make any impact since there are reports suggeting that giroud is RVP replacement what that tells us is if RVP goes the money is for keep(by the board).RVP should stay.
