Robin van Persie talks reportedly broken down and not going well

Talks between the club and Robin van Persie apparently broke down yesterday with no agreement according to The Sun.
Of course what is written in The Sun should be taken with a pinch of salt, but it would be no surprise to see the talks break down, the whole feeling from van Persie in recent weeks has not been a positive one with regards to extending his contract.

Apparently we are offering him a lucrative new three-year deal worth £130,000 a week that is hoped will see off interest from Man City, but that is assuming money is going to be enough to persuade van Persie to stay at The Emirates.

Whether we like it or not Man City are more likely to win trophies over the next three seasons than what we are and having seen three former team mates collect Premiership winners medals one can only imagine what van Persie is thinking.

It is also unlikely that we will force van Persie to see out the remaining year of his contract despite what the press are claiming, I cannot see us turning our backs on quite a few millions to prove a point, but we will see.

It’s unfortunate. Bt av alreadi made up my mind 2 an alternative, whch is either elden dzeko or giroud.

He wants Wenger to spend serious money this summer bringing in new talent, Wenger refuses to as he’s already made new signings in Diaby and Wilshere, RVP fairly decides he needs to look elsewhere for success. As Arsenal fans we’re better off accepting it and accepting the fact we’re not going to compete for any trophies any time soon – I’ll be getting behind our weak squad and hoping we can finish in the top 4 again next year.

    who can blame RVP?

    Me.

Yes, Man C will win more titles, but can that Nasir shit be remembered as a legend and have his statue standing after his playing days? Money cant buy u this n you have enough money RVP. And when u win the CL or PL title with AFC, it will be sweeter than what Nashit feels now.

This is a big blow for arsenal Fans. To me is not strange because i was expecting Robbin Van Persie to leave arsenal, who will blame him, Robbin is a world class player, and he is going to be 30 YRS SOON, tell me do you want him to stay in a club that has not ambitions of wining trophy talkless of trophies, he should go. For them not to reach an agreement that means Robbin did see any hope from that stupid manager that doesn’t want to spend money and that of chief executive.

As an asenal fan, i am very tired of Wenger, he should go, every season our best players left why, because our club has no ambitions of wining anything. I said it before, with Wenger in that club, we would win nothing, until he goes. For christ sake, they should sell the club to those billionaires around, if they know they could not run the club anymore. Asene Wenger is a gambler, and he will continue gamble, he is not concern about tropy, once his taken us to CL he never see something else as failure. I will support Robbin Van Persie if he goes, trust me, money is not his problem here on like Nasri, if he convince that we are going to compete on top , i bet you he didn’t see that in their negotiations, what a shame. God has mercy on ARSENAL FC. ONCE BEATING TWICE SHINE, but arsenal fc can be beaten thousand times, it doesn’t matter to Wenger.

    Man, what negativism!
“the whole feeling from van Persie in recent weeks has not been a positive one with regards to extending his contract” – he always said it was going to happen after the season, he never said “right after.” This was his best season ever, don’t know where you saw the “bad vibrations.”
“that is assuming money is going to be enough to persuade van Persie to stay at The Emirates” – as if that’s all Arsenal stands for. The money it would pay. Brilliant.
“having seen three former team mates collect Premiership winners medals one can only imagine what van Persie is thinking” – it sounds like it’s the first time any ex-Arsenal player collected any trophy. What about Henry? Vieira? Man City still have a long way to go before they enjoy the success they expect.
And we’re not that bad, either.

‘Whether we like it or not Man City are more likely to win trophies over the next three seasons than what we are’

So in short does it matter to you if we keep RvP, as you clearly don’t think Arsenal will be competitive – even with him!

  • if rvp feels arsenal isnt good enough for him let him go, and arsenal to use the money to buy good other strikers, cause next season rvp will not be so lucky on the injury side, as we know him.

  • Not sure the validity of the website, but considering the comments from RVP’s wife recently, would have to say these statements have very little if any bearing on the reality of his future… He also has stated he would not be interested in another team in EPL, why go from a team you are unequivocally loved to becoming hated by those same fans and in the process totally destabilize a club you claim to always love-makes no SENSE!!! He can get same $ at Real or Barca basically and win more trophies-so wake up folks and don’t believe the hype

  • Wenger must be serious by bringing in 4 new strong player to make van-persie firm and offload chamckha, arshavin, bendther, fabiask, alumnia, denlson & diaby, otherwise Arsenal may turn into shopping mall for other clubs
