Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has refused to set a return date for midfielder Jack Wilshere who was side-lined for the whole of last season through ankle injury.
The England international suffered an ankle problem during Arsenal’s pre-season friendly against New York Red Bulls last summer.
The medical stuff at Arsenal expected that the midfielder will shake off the injury within few months, but it only aggravated with time which ruled him out of action for the full campaign.
Wilshere is not selected for the pre-season tour of Asia and boss Arsene Wenger remains unsure about his probable joining date and time.
“It is impossible to set a concrete deadline at the moment, but it is all okay,” – Wenger was quoted while speaking to Arsenal Player
“He is as quick as we expected him to be. His ankle is good and his knee is good. There is no setback.
“It is difficult to say ‘it will be this week in September or October’ when he is back in training. He has been out for a year and I don’t want to put any pressure on him.”
Wenger further stated that midfielder Tomas Rosicky will not be available for at least six weeks from now after he picked up a heel injury during Euro 2012.
