Stoke boss Tony Pulis tries to distance himself from the vile abuse from his clubs fans

Stoke City has become somewhat an obstinate obstacle for Arsenal over the last few years and the fixture has taken the shape of a rivalry, often marred with rash physical battles, with The Gunners the obvious victim of it.

Manager Tony Pulis is aware of the fact but insists he can do nothing to take the resentment out of fans which has taken the shape of extreme hostility.

Arsenal went to The Britannia Stadium last weekend that ended in a goal less draw where, manager Arsene Wenger and his team were jeered vehemently.

“Irrespective of what I say or what Arsene says, you can’t affect what people do,” said the Potters boss while speaking to the reporters.

“As I’ve said, if I can’t affect it I don’t worry about it and I personally don’t think I can affect it.

“That’s got to be other people doing that not me and that’s got to be something that happens outside my sphere.

“You can say and I’ve said it before. That’s gone. We’ve moved on.”
