Time for Arsenal to lay down a statement of intent

The transfer window is now past, there is no point in moaning about what players were brought in and what players were missed out on, fact is that what is done is done and it is time to move on.

Arsenal host Southampton this weekend and for me this is a game that a nice profit can be made on, we should beat the Saints and that is what I will be backing the Gunners to do. First off I will visit Hityah.com, see what bookies offers are on offer and then get the best odds and make my bet.

Southampton are dangerous, but having watched them against Man Utd and then against Sunderland, I do not see what Arsenal really need to be afraid of.

The Saints are now a bit one dimensional, they offer little up front these days and with our midfield we should be able to control the middle of the park, simply put, our midfield is far superior.

You never know what team Wenger will put out until he names the side, however, even if Wenger springs a surprise and does not field the expected starting eleven, I still cannot see us getting beat, this is not because I am biased, but because I have looked at the performances of both sides so far this season and we are the better side, we are playing better and what’s more, I cannot see Southampton improving too much, but I can see us improving as each game goes on.

Whatever way I look at this I am backing Arsenal to beat Southampton, even at long odds on, to me it is money in the bank.
