Now apparently there’s a load of buzz going around Twitter, a certain rumour if you will about a Belgian player called Eden Hazzard, who is due to sign with Arsenal in the next 48 hours, and I’m sorry for those who read but this is about to pour water over that hot news, because you see, Eden Hazzard will not be joining us anytime soon – quite where all these rumours spouted from is beyond me, but most likely AKB’s trying to be positive still when the truth is quite clear, we are not going to sign anyone.
Now let me start by saying, if you actually believed all this BS rumour going around, then more fool you – obviously you haven’t learnt by now, that Arsenal FC do not pay such extravagant figures, as a player like Hazzard would cost, something around £30 million, now the club made their record signing in 2009 with Arshavin at £16.5 million does that not say something to you, the club also refused to stump up the extra cost for Juan Mata, the extra £2 million for Ricky Alvarez etc etc the list could go on, so on that basis fo for a start no way will Arsenal be signing Hazzard.
Secondly a player like Hazzard will want to play for a Champions League team, we can offer no guarantee of that at this time, we’ll be lucky if we make it in the Europa League next season lets be honest here on recent performances.
Thirdly, a player who will cost around £30 million would also command a wage that fits a £30 million player, again anyone who knows Arsenal will know that Arsenal do not fit in the ‘pay high wage’ category.
Not to mention of course that Hazzard would be cup tied from Champions League football for the rest of this season after featuring for Lille in their campaign.
Now I’m not saying I wouldn’t love it, if the club made such a gesture like this and signed him or paid that kind of money out on a player, he’d be a great addition to the club, but it just isn’t going to happen, as much as the Wengerites who think that Arsene Wenger is going to walk out there and sign every player – sorry to burst the bubble but he’s not, open your eyes wake up and smell the coffee – Eden Hazzard will not be joining this club at anytime soon, and neither will an other player of that calibre or price

Also agree, its a shame that they won’t do it just for the excitement that it would create in a way.
I wont complain if they don’t as long as they do actually have a clear out in the summer and get rid of the dead wood. Wenger has made our club the 3-4th richest in the world by buying players for £8-15m and then turning them into players worth that fee, and I would personally rather see them sign 2 £10m players and hope fore a bit of magic then see it all go on 1 £30m player who could be amazing but could also flop like Torres, Carrol etc (although having said that, Wenger does get more than most out of what he is given and it would be an interesting experiment and also good for the club to loose the tag of cheap skates). The 1st problem is though if we don’t increase our high end wage structure as you say we will never keep these players when their valuation gets up to those levels. The second problem is even once we have sold our best players the board are becoming less prepared to buy even within the normal range and will always buy a worse player for less money than spend even a percent above there initial valuation of a better player ie Mata, Alvarez.
We have lost the last 3 games not because of our defense is crappy (they are doing well considering the number of injuries they’ve suffered from and we now have 2 world class centre backs in Verm and Kosh and one of the top 3 right backs, and i have been impressed by Santos aswell particularly going forward.) But because our wingers havnt been playing well enough and without the attacking support from the full backs. We are just really missing Gerviniho and everyone thought Wallcot was good so he continued his usual cycle of putting less effort in and concentrating less (good news though is now everyone thinks hes shit again hell become good), the less said about Arshavin the better. I can think of at least 6 players (including ones on loan atm) that should go in the summer and will finally be very skeptical of Wenger if he doesnt see the same.
Our season is in the hands on two shining lights in the darkness that are Oxlade-Chamberlain and Jack Wilshere. Come on boyss!!!

Our record signing, Arshavin, also came in January and was cup tied. He was sought after by many big clubs. Is it so inconceivable that we won’t buy a new record signing who is cup tied?Stranger things have happened

Yep sorry to say it alrite we got 30 mil for fab 25 for nasri but yet we would not pay and extra 2 r 3 mill for cahill same for mata and alvarez its a joke really looking at the premier league this year if we had fab and nasri and wilshere fit i really do think we would b sitting on top of the premier league its a real shame,wilshere is back now soon so hopefully we will play song arteta and him in the middle with gervinho and chamberlain on the wings would love to see a major signing which i think we really need but for some reason not known to us fans although we have money we wont spend it crazy really and its becoming increasingly annoying and upsetting if im honest to see such a good team go down the pan. wenger stop bargain hunting and fucking buy some quality r else go.
