Young Dutch midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup, has spoken today on how he would like more regular first team playing time after being part of the first team that travelled to Athen to face Olympiacos in the last game of the group stages for the Gunners, and admits that the game has left him hungry for more first team inclusions.
The 19 year old midfielder, clearly enjoyed playing in such a match like that, and is desperate to start playing more regularly as a first team player, and after playing for the reserves in recent has admitted he may look to go out on loan to further his professional career.
Speaking on Arsenal.com, Ozyakub has said:
“It was absolutely fantastic in Greece: the atmosphere was perfect, the fans were crazy,”
“If you smell it, you want more and more and more. Once you have been there you want it every time.
“I am really happy with the way things are progressing at Arsenal. I have been involved with the first team a few times, training with them too, and things are good.
“Hopefully I might go out on loan if there is a good club that plays a similar style to Arsenal, but if not then I will continue with the Reserves and just try to play good games and do my best.”

I think he’s getting close. Maybe next year he can be the one to go to Bolton on loan
Totally agree this fella is as close as lansbury ryo and imo i would take him over diaby rosicky benayoun now. however i expect us to sign a couple of new midfielders next season so i would try and send ozzy to somewhere like leeds right now then give him a prem league club like bolton next year.
most importantly i want to see us change our formation next season. a 442 with one of the mids being a genuine holding player and the other mids a mixture of central playmakers and wingers. the strikers a mixture of tall small left and rights a complete mixed bag. i want to see a mixture of youth and experience fighting.for each position with 3 players for each position. my squad including new signings with sold players in brackets.
gk szcezney akinfeev martinez mcdermott (fabianski almunia mannone)

that is 18 players sold/released and just 10 signed. a number of reserves might also go but seeing as none will be 21 thus not affecting the 25 man squad they can just go on loan for now. for example i have left out frimpong ozyakup henderson shea yennaris campbell miquel watt as i think all these could do with more time out on loan before making the step up.
My bro. Bc,
this signing can’t come. We should not deceive ourselves.
I totally agree with your 4-4-2. What about this:
IN GOAL- Szcezsny, Fabianski and Mannone, a back ups;
FULL BACKS- Sagna and Santos, then Gibbs, Jerkinson and Coquelin as backups;
CENTRE BACKS- the best pair of Verm, Per, Kos, Bartley and Djorou;
ANCORMAN- Song/Diarra. Frimpong and Coquelin as backups;
PLAYMAKER- either Arteta or Wilshere, Ramsey and Rosicky as backups;
FLANKS- Hazard and Jervinho. Chamberlain, Walcott, Ryo as backups;
FORWARDS- Van P and Ba/Podolski(wc ever 1 dt can be purchased). Bendtner, Vela, Park as backups.
There are three sensible signings in this squard. Any other addition can also warm the bench with the bench warmers. People like Diaby, Denilson, Maroaune…..
