Marseille have finally agreed a deal to land Arsenal target Dimitri Payet from Lille.
We have been linked with the Lille star in the last few weeks as boss Arsene Wenger looks to add the right kind of quality to help bring silverware back to the club.
French paper L’Equipe had revealed that Marseille made their move with a cheeky bid for Payet, which was quickly turned down as they want more for one of their best players
However, according to the TalkSport website Marseille president Vincent Labrune met with his opposite number at Lille, Michel Seydoux, on Tuesday evening and thrashed out a deal which is believed to be in the figure of £7.5 million.
It is no secret that Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is a massive fan and would have loved to take him to the Emirates, but it will have to get used to it as many of his reported targets will probably end up elsewhere.
