Arsenal and Russian national captain Andrey Arshavin on his loan deal back with home town club Zenit St Petersburg back in Russia, has been speaking about how when the loan deal finishes that he would like to return back to England – despite all the whinging he has been previously been doing ove how he ‘hated the British customs, way of life and the English women etc, and the question we have to ask ourselves if ‘do we really want him back at the club’
Andrey Arshavin has with the exception of his first few months at Arsenal had quite a poor time with the club, his performances in a majority of games has been questionable to say the least, with Arshavin looking every time like he would rather be somewhere else and not proud to wear the red and white, a point shown in the Carling Cup final in 2011 when his face said it all when he was coming out and on the pitch, that the cup wasn’t worth his time or effort, and to add to that the tag of being ‘our laziest player’ on the pitch’ at times, which has seen his appearances very limited at the club this season.
Speaking on how he’d now like to return to England after his loan deal, Arshavin said:
“I want to come back. My family are comfortable in London. But every footballer wants to play.”
